- Location: where the signing will take place (city/neighborhood is fine)
- Signer count: how many people need to sign
- Type of notarization: acknowledgment or jurat (if known)
- ID readiness: valid government-issued ID available for each signer
- Timing: ideal day/time (and whether it’s urgent)
If you’re not sure about the notarization type, that’s okay—requirements are determined by the notarial certificate included with the document.

- A notary public cannot provide legal advice or prepare legal documents.
- All signers must be able to communicate directly with the notary. Interpreters are not permitted for notarial communication.
- Please do not sign jurat documents in advance—jurats must be signed in the notary’s presence.
